Modern projectors are fully compatible with mobile phone connections, supporting multiple wired and wireless connection methods to meet different usage scenarios, whether for home entertainment, office presentations, or outdoor projections. Almost all mainstream projectors on the market, including smart projectors and traditional business projectors, retain mobile phone connection functions, making mobile screen projection one of the most commonly used practical features of projectors. There is no strict restriction on mobile phone systems, as both iOS and Android smartphones can complete stable connection with projectors through corresponding matching methods.
Wireless connection is the most convenient and widely used way for mobile phone-projector linkage. For Android phones, users can turn on the “Wireless Projection”, “Screen Mirroring” or “Smart View” function in the mobile phone settings, search for the projector’s device name in the nearby device list, and click to pair and connect. For iPhone users, they can use the built-in AirDrop screen mirroring function in the control center, select the target projector device, and realize one-click full-screen projection. This wireless mode requires the mobile phone and projector to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network, and some new projectors support direct peer-to-peer connection without a router, avoiding network restrictions.
Wired connection is more stable and suitable for scenarios with poor network signals or ultra-clear projection needs. Users only need to prepare a corresponding adapter: iOS phones use a Lightning to HDMI adapter, while Android phones use a Type-C to HDMI adapter that supports video output. After connecting the mobile phone, adapter and projector’s HDMI interface in sequence, the projector can automatically identify the mobile phone signal source and complete screen projection. In addition, some projectors are equipped with dedicated projection apps, which can assist in connection, support file synchronous playback and screen rotation adjustment, further optimizing the mobile phone projection experience.
