Side projection is a very practical function of home projectors, which allows users to place the projector on the left and right sides of the screen instead of the positive center, adapting to different home space layouts. However, many projectors have serious image quality loss during side projection, such as blurred screen, distorted picture, uneven color and reduced definition, which is mainly caused by unreasonable parameter configuration and insufficient technical performance of the product. Many low-priced projectors only support basic manual keystone correction, and the correction range is narrow and the precision is low. When the side projection angle is slightly large, the picture will be severely distorted and the edge details will be blurred, resulting in a sharp decline in viewing experience.

The core parameter to ensure side projection image quality is automatic keystone correction and multi-point trapezoidal correction technology. Projectors with native 1080P and above resolution can still maintain clear picture details after side projection correction, while 720P and pseudo-resolution products will have serious pixelation and fuzzy details after side projection.

In addition, the lens quality and imaging algorithm also determine the side projection effect. High-quality projectors adopt high-definition glass lenses and professional imaging optimization algorithms, which can effectively suppress image distortion and definition attenuation during oblique projection, and ensure uniform screen brightness and consistent color restoration. When purchasing, consumers should avoid products that only advertise side projection function without marking correction precision and algorithm parameters. It is necessary to focus on verifying the actual side projection effect of the product, prioritize products with full-angle automatic keystone correction and high-precision multi-point correction functions, and match high native resolution parameters, so as to completely avoid the problem of poor side projection image quality and realize arbitrary placement and high-definition projection.
