Pairing a projector remote control is a simple and standardized operation, mainly divided into infrared remote control pairing and Bluetooth wireless remote control pairing two modes, and the operation steps of different modes are slightly different. Infrared remote controls are the most traditional and common type, which basically do not need complex pairing procedures. Users only need to install matching dry batteries in the remote control, aim the remote control transmitter at the projector’s infrared receiving window, and press any function key to control the projector normally. This mode has no pairing threshold, but it has strict directional requirements and cannot be used normally if there are obstacles blocking the signal.
Bluetooth remote controls are widely used in new smart projectors, featuring no direction limitation and long signal transmission distance, which require manual pairing for the first use. Before pairing, users need to confirm that the projector is in normal power-on working state, and the remote control is equipped with new batteries to avoid pairing failure caused by insufficient power. Then, keep the remote control within 30 centimeters of the projector body, press and hold the designated pairing shortcut keys at the same time. The common shortcut key combinations are “OK key + Volume down key” or “Power key + Menu key”, and hold for 3 to 5 seconds until the projector screen pops up a pairing prompt or the remote control indicator flashes.
After the prompt appears, release the keys and wait for 2 to 5 seconds, the system will automatically complete matching and binding, and the remote control can be used normally after successful pairing. If the pairing fails for the first time, users can troubleshoot according to common problems: replace new batteries to eliminate power problems, remove obstacles between the remote control and the projector, and restart the projector to clear system cache. In addition, when the remote control is not used for a long time or the projector is restored to factory settings, the binding relationship will be invalid, and the above pairing steps need to be repeated. Some brand projectors support one-click reset pairing, which can quickly solve the problem of remote control failure and signal disconnection.
